Video for the Month of January

The written word will be a little light this month.  My ‘blog’ time was mostly spent on the banking video.

In this shorter blog, I am reminded of to whom I am writing. Those people are the future… us. We are currently in our mid 60’s. I wonder where we will be in 15 years. I will be 78 and Diane will be more than 78. Have the Mariners won the World Series yet? One can always hope 😊 Will our present administration be just a blip, like most presidencies, only remembered for one or two things? Where will we be? In some large home overlooking Phang Nga Bay? We could have a live-in cook/maid who can be a Thai language teacher ‘cos at my current rate of learning I will still need help. Yep, that kind of thing is possible for us here, but not back in the US.

If the currents of life were to carry us back to the West, we would not have the comparative wealth we have here. Still, having a modest condo in a warm, sunny southern state and going to a Single-A league baseball game now and then might be its own silver lining.

Should I give my future self some advice from the past? Maybe I’ll just give us a reminder. It was a good idea not to buy a motorcycle. If ‘you/me’ did, ‘you/me’ probably wouldn’t be reading this now.

Hey, also start spending some money! You only have a few years left. Take that year-long cruise Diane has talked about. Remember you were happy in 2026, and I know you two still are.

The world’s most uncomfortable table…the last table left

Simmering for 3 generations…

To say ‘the best khao soi ever’ doesn’t seem the gods of food would let you say it. How about ‘none better’.

Thank you soooo much for reading/watching our blog.
